canyons toward Gateway.
The weather is great, and not much traffic.
Some corners are just meant to be burned...
Coming into the old town of Gateway.
flat lands, granite mountains, slick rock formations,
and dark timber canyons as well.
OOPS!
this big, fancy place in the middle of nothing.
We went into the car museum he has there,
and also had a great lunch at the restaurant.

The red sandstone formations are incredible.
Along the bluffs of the Delores River canyon.
recently, there was a lot of standing water

the town of Ridgway.
After a hot cup of coffee in Ridgway, we are back
on the road. Looks like we are finally leaving the
storm behind us.

It's only been 8 hours. Lets do it again!!!

Grand Junction called Famous Dave's BBQ, so
after an enormous meal and several laughs we crawled

The planned ride for the day was to go over
Independence Pass, with Zeke and
his wife Rewa, David L, Fuller and myself
before the snow hits.
Zeke called the morning of the trip to let us
know that he wouldn't be able to make it,
because he rides a Harley. (HEHEHE)
Not really, Zeke was sicker than a dog, so
they sat this one out, they were missed and
hopefully will be feeling better for the
next trip.
You can always pick your friends, but you can't pick the weather!!!
